The remuneration paid to ATM operators for BLIK withdrawals is due to change on 1 January 2027. Cashless reports a new rate of PLN 1.20 plus 0.17 per cent of the amount withdrawn. This replaces a flat PLN 1.20 per transaction, irrespective of its value.
The change concerns payments between institutions and does not automatically introduce a customer charge. Under the new formula, a PLN 500 withdrawal produces PLN 2.05 in operator remuneration, while PLN 1,000 produces PLN 2.90. These calculations are not the account holder’s withdrawal tariff: that is determined by their bank.

In its subsequent comment, Polski Standard Płatności confirms the business nature of the new price list. The operator describes an alignment with rates used by card schemes. Individual banks remain responsible for deciding whether to charge their account holders under their own tariffs.
The revised terms may affect the economics of independent ATM networks, which previously restricted individual BLIK withdrawals. No universal removal of those limits has been announced. The change also does not establish that every customer will pay more from January. The relevant bank’s published tariff will determine the cost for a particular account.
